Winter 2007 vs Winter 2006

I was cleaning out some old files and came across a video clip from almost exactly one year ago... Sara and I took a trip to St Petersburg... It's weird to consider the difference between winter 2006 and winter 2007. We barely have snow this year... last year (in Novomoskovsk) - the snow was piled 4 or 5 feet high already. The temperature is getting colder... but it seems the city is out of practice for snow removal. Most of the sidewalks are still ice covered and extremely slippery (Russians, of course do not slip and fall... westerners slip and fall quite often).
